Music often has a way of making us feel like we are in another world, or in other words, in a dream. The idea for daydreams was started after an accidental three and a half hour FaceTime conversation about our opinions on modern music. So, we decided to share those opinions with the world. Soon after we came up with the name “daydreams” because getting lost in a song is like a lot like daydreaming. Our goal is to share our passions about music while giving honest and open feedback about the artists of today.
Hi, I’m Maggie! Currently, I’m studying public relations at Wayne State University, and my ultimate goal is to work for a record label to help artists and bands create grow and create an image. I do also write songs of my own and won an award for one my senior year of high school! Music has always been a passion of mine and something I’ve always dreamed of being apart of. I think the best part about music is that it has the power to bring together anyone of any age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, etc… and that’s why this blog excites me. Our opinions of music may differ, but there is always that joining link that talking about music and listening to it provides.
Hi everybody, my name is Stephen. I’m currently a student at Oakland University studying Biomedical Sciences and Spanish with the goal of becoming a medical doctor in the future. Music has been a constant in my life that I could always turn to. It has the power to inspire, relax and express oneself in incredible ways. The transcendent quality that music has to take us away from our everyday worries is unparalleled. No matter your favorite artist or song, music is therapeutic and a beautiful aspect of life. I’m so thankful for the ability of music to share vivid idylls as well as harsh realities. The never ending discussions that can be held in song create the beautiful art form of lyricism and demonstrate the true power of music that I hope to share with you all.
